For the past few months there has been a call to arms for a special type of frontliner all around the globe. These brave people have been put to the difficult task of battling a deadly and unseen enemy called the COVID-19 virus. These frontliners – nurses, orderlies, medical technicians, doctors, and other health care providers – have been the only major defense that we have had to help us survive this widespread pandemic.
Because of this, there has been an unspoken pact between us regular folks to show these medical care professionals how much we value them risking their own lives to save ours. There have been people singing out of terraces as frontliners drive to their next hospital shift, businesses giving them free food and other items, and there have also been smaller gestures of thanks by many individuals that are just as heartfelt and significant.
Husky Dog Sings Duets
One of these small dedications was made by a man named Tate Hegstrom, who posted a heartfelt duet on Instagram featuring his three-year-old Siberian Husky, Kovu. Their acoustic rendition of one of the most popular songs from Bill Withers – “Lean on Me.” The short music video got noticed by many online for how well this talented dog sings. You can really hear him harmonizing his howls with his dad’s!

This pooch is always game when it comes to a sing-a-long. He really doesn’t need any convincing for him to agree with whatever his dad wants to do, especially with so much time together during the quarantine. Kovu also knows that what they are doing is dedicated to the heroes of the healthcare industry. Every duet that they sing goes out to those men and women who care for those who need it.
